I have always loved being outdoors and felt inspired by the world around me.  I have drawn and painted my whole life, with some formal training, but am mostly self-taught.  Although my career is quite the opposite from that of a full-time artist, I have made creating in my home studio a priority and in a sense, a way to bring balance to my life.   

I am a native of Georgia and have lived in both rural communities as well coastal regions.  I am re-energized by the vast and ever changing skies and seas.  They are the perfect marriage of life and destruction.  Their constant, evolving beauty of colors and forms are mirrors to our lives and emotions. I feel connected to and grounded by the expansive world around me.  Capturing this feeling on canvas is the way I feel alive and at peace.
